Thought it would be cool to have a place where we could post pictures of knives that have fully run their course. Ready to head to the barn one last time.

Not destroyed for fun.

Just worn in use, acidental neglect, testing, unfortunate accidents, and such. Broken/cracked blades, sharpened for the last time, corroded beyond rehab, bent, broken parts, melted, busted tips etc.

Here's one given as a gift to a close family member, EDC'd for the last 18 months. I asked him to use this one without a thought and not to baby it like he does the rest. MagnaCut blade. lol

Did he fight Babarians, Ninjas, Pirates and Undead with that knife?

😳

I've spent a few bucks on a few Bucks recently. BOS Heat treat, Magnacut et al. So, I know about the other reason I've bought some Bucks: their warranty service.

I'm still thinking they'll 😳 when they see that knife!

Probably, I'm sure they can make it look almost new again.

The metal and brass can be cleaned up, the wood will most likely need to be replaced.

No, he's a boat mechanic and field research specialist. Also does a good bit of major renovations in his spare time. lol

Constantly using it, day in and day out. I can dig it. Considerimg the number of trips to the tool box and skipping the weight of having the perfect tool on hand all day. It saved more than the cost of the knife.

18 month disposable. lol

I would send it back to spyderco, they have the same kind of services as Buck.

Might not be new but will keep it as a user.

I don't tend to swear very often but I actually said "holy shit!" out loud when I saw your pics.

So, you are acknowledging Pirates exist and do not deny the existence of Undead.

Got it!

🤫

🙃

Spyderco could use that as an advertisement. For the knife, not The Undead.

Spyderco Salt Series and Magnacut as well. This thing has been in the saltwater everyday all this time. Not one spec of corrosion concern. Not even where the blade melted. lol
