Pics of Knives Headed to the Scrap Yard

Scrap a knife? Are you out of your mind?!

Rescued this beaut from the nephews a while back after they found it in the basement of one of the places my wife's sister rented between husbands. They were "playing Halo" with it. I forgot about it until recently, but it has been given new life as the mower deck scraper. I think it was a kitchen knife originally, had already been modified into whatever this is. The tang is jammed into some splinter of wood inside a rolled up piece of metal. True art.

That beauty has a Mad Max vibe! :)

I posted this picture awhile back. Funny thing is that it isn’t headed to the scrapyard! A coworker proudly Carries it daily. I got him a brand new one, the same model, but he still uses this one as his work knife. Hopefully HE doesn’t sharpen his new one! 😳😜😂IMG_8817.jpeg

Love to see Bucks restored! Are the blades "proud" when you close them or do they safely retract into the well enough to carry without worry? great job.

I think you misread my post. That is a before picture. They went back to Buck and got new blades installed as well as a spa treatment and came back essentially new knives.

Thought it would be cool to have a place where we could post pictures of knives that have fully run their course. Ready to head to the barn one last time.

Not destroyed for fun.

Just worn in use, acidental neglect, testing, unfortunate accidents, and such. Broken/cracked blades, sharpened for the last time, corroded beyond rehab, bent, broken parts, melted, busted tips etc.

Here's one given as a gift to a close family member, EDC'd for the last 18 months. I asked him to use this one without a thought and not to baby it like he does the rest. MagnaCut blade. lol
