I would send it back to spyderco, they have the same kind of services as Buck.

Might not be new but will keep it as a user.

Spyderco absolutely does not have customer service similar to buck. I like a lot of their knives but they have terrible CS compared to most major knife companies.

If that's a Buck, send it to them, they do a good job of fixing them up.

Nope that’s not a Buck. Looks like a Schrade LB7. And a Buck that age would be a stainless and not as rusted like that one.

I'm betting he was working in close quarters and arced 20k-50k volts from an outboard ignition. If it gets you, especially in an aluminum boat with a little water in it, you instantly release your bowels. Ask me how I know. lol!

I posted this picture awhile back. Funny thing is that it isn’t headed to the scrapyard! A coworker proudly Carries it daily. I got him a brand new one, the same model, but he still uses this one as his work knife. Hopefully HE doesn’t sharpen his new one! View attachment 2968934

I saw one of those belted worksharp sharpeners eat my buddys case buckhorn like that. Sad day in the office. Cheap knife but it was loved. Nice thread here! Ill post some

A while ago some guy sent his Benchmade Emerson CQC7 in and he'd been in a serious car accident and his knife had been ejected, and his truck flipped over and squashed it. It was completely trashed. We replaced it with a new one and returned the damaged one with a pleasant note. It was the only time we ever did that.
