Pics of Pairs--Large and Small Versions of the Same Model

Just woke up off the couch, Joe, and saw these when I went to shut down my computer. Nice little brother, brother! I guess as long as you or I still have a couple bucks to our names, this ole thread will still have legs. ;)

That little guy is definitely a keeper!! So's his big brother! Pro Tech makes one hell of an auto!!

I keep trying to keep it alive my friend!!
I love this thread and seeing the pairs of some awesome freakin knives is great!!

I shot these pics to post at the MiniManix thread over in the Spyderco wing of BF and got thinking that they'd go pretty well here as the models are big and small and very similar in shape and lock-type. The blue LW and blue Sage both have wire clips too. I'll have to get a group shot for later posting of the four here plus my XL for a super contrast triple-size play.

Hey Steve! The blue Sage 3 is by far my fave Sage! Great color with a cool lock!
Gave mine to one of my sons, think he lost it in the first week!! Ugh.

Not exactly the same model...but here are Extrema Ratio folders that span two extremes. The 185* RAO is one of the biggest (and probably the heaviest duty) folders they offer. And the BF2 Pitbull is one of the smallest and lightest, with a thin 2.5" blade meant for urban carry in restrictive areas.

Shame about that knife, Joe. Of the ones I've given my sons only one has been permanently lost and that was back in the day and not much of a knife either. Luck counts too, brother.

Have you tried the Sage 5 or Para 3? I like the 5 but haven't sprung for the little Para yet. The pic is "off topic" as the commonality is just the maker and the lock. I figure as long as I have a subpoena coming or am on double-secret probation I'll throw caution to the wind. :p

Haven't checked either out. Think I'm leaning towards the Sage tho. I think that lock with that knife is awesome!
Para 3 isn't really doing it for me.......gotta get one in hand.
In regards to that last pic you put up.........you better check yourself brother!! Might cancel the subpoena and just send a SWAT team!!

I know, I know. I'm not only out of true pairs, but might be on the precipice of bankruptcy when it comes to making more. Take pity on a brother addict, after all I did say it was "off topic"!!:eek::eek:
