Pics of some Survive! Knives history!!

Yeah man! I first looked at the thread and though two things...

I dont remember any DLC 5.1s, but I could have just forgotten and that it looked long for a 5.1. I suggested it in the dude's sale thread but didnt wanna out him on it because I knew if I confirmed it was a 7/7, I was going to have to buy it. Then of course, someone else mentioned and he confirmed... And my wallet screamed.

You will wish you bought it when you see how nice she cleaned up

I missed the sale...what color is it? Congrats BTW! Now you have 2?

Man I think it looks great even now. I love blades with some use on them. No way am I stepping on a buddy's toes over a sale though. I would have PMd you first if I had gotten serious, just to make sure you were out. And it's a good thing I passed, I scored a NTM 3V field knife, and I couldn't have afforded both, ha. :)

Didn't Guy say something about going away from the coatings because they weren't holding up to his expectations? It looks like the coating is still in pretty good shape on this one.

Yes, it doesn't prevent corrosion as well as he wanted.

The black one....it looks great. I have a black 5.1. What are you going to use to bring the blade back?

I totally agree and the coating can take a beating too. After 2 years of hard use my 4.1 only started losing coating when I used a Lansky guided sharpener. The fastener is metal and that removed some of the coating. Otherwise it was holding well. Maybe we can get Guy to do some limited runs in DLC.

Trying to figure out posting pics on this forum, hope it works.

It did work! Finally-
5.1 convex with corby bolts, 1st gen 5, proto 5, proto 4 and 2 edc4's in elmax.

Very nice family shot. Lookin good psybull. I hope I'm the first on your list for an elmax if one ever needs a good home.

Psybull, VERY nice! Thank you for making the effort to make the pics work. If I had the means I would spend my time and money hunting down prototypes and one of a kind GSO's like trillionares do with artwork and ancient artifacts in movies. You should be proud of that collection! Comparison pics like that benefit us all

High praise indeed, thanks for that! I am glad that I just became aware of these awesome blades in the early stages of the company.
Another 5-10 years from now these will be next to impossible to find.

I absolutely agree. Take good care of them and most of all enjoy them!

Forgive me if you've said already, but do you have plans to acquire new models? How cool it would be to see a brand new 5.1 or 4.7 next to their progenitor.

Yes I do have a 3.5 and 7/7 on pre order plus I was lucky enough to pick up one of the factory 2cd 5.1's last week.
