See! it ended up looking great! nice job Pete. was that the slingshot you had at the gathering? i don't remember seeing it, but i may have been drunk at the time. it's very cool.

Thanks Todd, you were right, as always, but no that's one I picked up for my son (arrived while I was away)

in all seriousness, tin knife, who knew! (Mack i suppose, and john) couldn't wait for the sheath to dry out, I'm carrying it anyway, dandy little thing, I've been walking around the house looking for things that "need" cutting. :D

That is one heck of a tin knife!!!. Great looking scales.

photobucket says I have to many pictures so I had to shift them all around, anyway, wasting time at work so thought I'd add some more here to:)

please don't make me do my work, have a heart and post some pictures, eh?

This thread is lacking in Fish knife photos.

Yesterday, I cut up an onion and forgot to wipe it off.

Today after I gave it a good scrubbing:

I wonder what Sorry did that he had to be deleted? Seemed like a nice guy. (It is that kind of day)

thanks all, honestly after seeing the sheath thread myke posted thought I'd see what i can do when I put in the effort (it's cemented together and a real piece of tooling leather that I dyed myself and hadn't been used for anything else before no less :p smaller was not noticing some cement had leaked out on the belt loop so the stain didn't take so well in one patch etc etc), well, I'm happy, but I made mistakes I shouldn't have (big one was deciding to drill press the sowing holes and not lining up the front and back properly, doh!), going to rest it a while and wait till the Riverwoods is ready and try again.

They do look good, Peter.
I failed to mention it at the gathering, but you do great work.

How many of your sheaths have been wet molded?

dang guys, it'll go to my headyou know :)

Thank's Mr. Woods, appreciate it,

I have wet molded before, especially when I tried my first few and was seeing how it all worked (still am fyi :p.) Now I soak to do the decoration on them and let dry folded over and clipped, but I don't wet mold - form fit is what i call it in my head for some reason - the shape of the knife into it. Instead I just try to get the right shape in the design and cut it close to the margins so it's tight, (FYI I have a sheath I made a week or so ago for an ewok but it only fits my kep edc, so it has it's down sides :)).
