Split a few pieces of seasoned white oak and hickory this evening for the smoker. The Kephart did great and still had a shaving edge.

This well is on our property, looks to be near 100+ years old to my eyes but nobody seems to think there was another house around back then, even though my house is only 20 years old,

I love stuff like that. There had to be a reason for the well - a barn maybe?

Old pumps like that bring pretty fair money in NJ. My wife wanted one (for looks) in her flower garden and the antique shops were charging around $150 for a non-working version. I got her one for free but she had to wait a couple of years for it.
