Can't believe that anyone would want to give that one up. Great score.

Can't wait until I'm able to post a picture to this thread. I mean, those are some GORGEOUS knives! :) I can't wait to put mine to work doing what it is designed to do. :)
Here's a couple of pics of the Tool doing what it was meant to do to hold you over until you get yours Shaggy.:)

If that's the R#9 with black micarta & red liners it was originally mine.
And if I didn't have the Tool it would still be mine!
The R#9 is a great knife, just redundant since I got the Tool so I let it go to pay bills.:)

That is the one. Great knife with a great feel in the hand. Cant wait to get it out into the woods.

Nice pictures guys -

Warrior - great to see that kit out making fires, I am sure you will give that kit a lot of use.

Didn't know you lost your hat Peter, but nice that you found it ....

Nice pickup of the original Mykel RN9 - that is a great knife. I am glad I finally picked up a copy of that knife this year. I had mine finished with John's Torched Oak treatment-

That torched oak looks great. It gives it a classic and classy look.
I hope you like it.

Just a few phone pics to show off the newest member of the family..!

Element O1 Clip Point Hunter in California Buckeye Burl Book Matched Scales, with black liners and hollow brass pins.

I made a belt lanyard with a matching Buckeye Burl bead and a Celtic Button Knot..

John did an amazing job on this, and for putting up with all my emails....:)

Thank you. I'm looking for a general utility/camp/hunting knife and I think I've settled on a JK. Now the challenge of picking the model.
