Great pictures, 'warrior!

I'll repost my Small Simple Scandi pictures from the weekend here.

My Izula gets no love anymore, no need for it since I have had my SSS.

This knife is 5 3/4" overall, with a 2 3/8" x 1/8" forged finish blade, scandi ground with a tiny microbevel. It has a torched oak handle, and two 1/8" brass pins.

My SSS is a handsome, rugged little piece of 01 steel:

Very sweet! I've never been a huge fan of Nessmuks, but if I did get one, I'd want one exactly like that  Very nice.

That Pocketmuk handles very nicely too. It's one of my favorites.

Now that I'm working again and back in Arizona, I had a reason to celebrate. So I sent John a pair of stabilized walnut scales and asked if he would use them on a model that I have admired for sometime now: Kyturkey's Kentucky Woodsman. I wanted 3/16" 01, yellow liners, serrations, no holes, and I wanted the handle about an inch thick. As you can see, John did a great job. Then I asked him to send the knife to Noah of Wasteland Leather for one of his Apocolyptic creations and I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend his services.JK 1.jpgJK 2.jpgJK 3.jpg

Hi JackHammer -

Wow! You did it up right!

I only have one of Noah's sheath creations, but I will try to get another when he starts making them again.....

John always does an outstanding job, and Derek's design is a great one, now you need a Fieldmate to keep your Woodsman company.

Thanks for the pictures and congrats on being back to work!

Thanks for your comments. John did a great job on this piece as did Noah on the sheath. I'll be back for more but first I have closing costs on the house I am buying on 8/31, then fly my 7 year old son out from NY, get him in school, start buying furniture for him and I, in short, I may not be buying knives for a few months. But I'll still be here.

These knives all look so pretty. They need to get out more.
