Thanks, the RN9 turned out great. Unfortunately for me it's a gift for a sick friend. I am keeping it until he comes back to work. I may have to get one for myself later.

the heft of the medium nessie is unreal at .250" thick...really well balanced in the hand

not that the necknessie is a slouch at 3/16"

For some reason I always feel bad when I see someone got rid of one of my knives. Makes me think they did not like it.

No worries John, I love it and all of yours will be passed down to my son or his children after I am finished with them, which will not be for quite some time.
 
I don't hold a patent on the idea, go for it, let the shells be seen on every knife grip
