Pictures of Knives in Wood!

I have very few made in this particular part of the world, but a Tenacious was my first Spydie, kind of a gateway knife for me, and I have five of them in various combinations as I'm kind of a sucker for the pattern.

These were taken at the same house as Post #285, though the second pic above was a subsequent exterior handrail done just a few years ago. Those below are of the interior staircase I built some twenty years earlier and mimicked for the outdoor work later.

Back outside for the more recent build, though I don't think there's actually a knife in this one....

My method here has been to move backwards through my Imgur files starting about a month ago when I decided to abandon using that photo sharing host for better image color and clarity by bluetoothing my pics to my laptop and posting directly from there. I've tried to choose the better pics and not duplicate knives, though I've surely slipped up on both counts. Anyway, I've hit a niche in that regression with some favorites from two separate stair/handrail jobs at a house I built over 20 years back and have continued to add to and remodel. These are from the later exterior handrail project and will be the last of those, at least for a while.

Making these domed lower railing slats out of Spanish Cedar (the species is Cedrela Odorata, distinguished by being neither Spanish nor Cedar)...

This is for all the outdated froe/axe/wedge Grandpas out there. Saying that batoning this knife is "knife abuse" is like saying that a butter knife cutting through hot butter is "butter knife abuse"...

Yes, this ^^^ is the right tool for the job. (*This knife would have no problem cutting a froe in half)

Are the two bottom blades from Viper. And, if so, what model? They're both gorgeous.
Thanks. :D Those two are lionSTEELS--Collector Knives Exclusives from their Euro Barlow series. They fall within the category of Modern Traditionals with their screw together construction and M390 blades. The one on the left is the Roundhead model in Santos wood and the other is the Shuffler in CF. The quality of construction and F&F are typically excellent of Maniago-made knives.

Here's a pic of the three I own along with their CK slips, the top one being the Dom in natural Micarta.
