I know you did this awhile back but have you ever done the same to an ad10 ? I love how factory your work looks by-the-by

I haven’t done that with an AD10 but I would think it would be similar

I keep one close by at night , on my bed stand . ☺️

You ever laid it on a flat surface and spun it? They’ll spin for like 2 minutes on the edge of the tsuba. It might walk around a little… but it’ll spin.

I recently obtained some fantastic, “vintage” Cold Steel blades. I’m slowly cleaning them up, some for sale and some for keeping! This first one is a definite keeper. Carbon V Laredo Bowie, NiB! I don’t believe the blade ever came out of the paper cover and plastic bag. There is still some verdigris marks where the paper sleeve contacted the guard, but I’ll eventually get it all off. The blade has a few darkened spots and I may work on those with Mother’s Mag Polish, but I don’t want an extra shiny spot on the brushed blade.

The sheath was desiccated badly. That, along with verdigris at every rivet, made for a sad sight. Heavy doses of Saddle Butter and a ton of rubbing, and letting the sheath heat in the sun, seems to have brought it back from the dead.
