Never understood why they're called bastard files

Because every so often it grabs a shard of steel and leaves a long, deep scratch. Like a canyon in the middle of your work piece. You'll spend the next 45 minutes trying to get rid of it.

Outta curiosity, what do you use to darken the lines?
Assuming that's titanium? do you anodize then refinish?
With silver I use that sulpher of liver stuff...

That's sick. My dad was in aircraft maintenance for most of his Air Force career. F-16's, C-130's, C-17's, C-5's, KC-135's. Nothing as cool as F-35's though, lol.

Lot of problems with them ? Just note , do you really think that someone will look in knife in that picture I like planes , may years ago I was that close to become pilot on MIG-29
