The wild pig is a big, fast and dangerous animal.
People who hunt pigs with knives often get killed or badly injured by the pig.
Then, in all the confusion, the knife gets lost in the woods.
Get thee a metal detector and get thee to pig country!!!
Really? You're kiddin, right? Come on, people don't really hunt wild pigs with just a knife do they?

About availability, didn't I read on here that most of them went to the Australian Market?
Just thought I would post a picture of mine for those that haven't seen the 651 Intruder and/or Pig Sticker.
Second one down

Information on the 651 has been an elusive as the knife itself. I did finally locate some interesting facts though.
Buck made 1750 of them and the vast majority of those we sent out of the country. The last ones I saw had a label date of 2008.
....I dug around some and found out that there were a total of 1886 made. I havent been able to determine how many went to Australia and how many stayed here though.
ugh what ever happened to the 651 pig stickers?
have been watching the waters for one

information on any single model can some times be found out all at once
some models it dribbles in
i checked in to that knife when i seen one posted by another fourm member
information was way less then 100
but that number from the girls in the store changed as folks said they had one
then later some one showed up on the bay waters selling them cheep
some time later it come out that some one in sales sold a large "found" surplus to one person
who sold them as little as 50 $ some went high most were reasonable
then the totals changed from what joe found the first time
the knife is a unique knife in its size and name
and the full story of it has yet to be discovered !!!
who ordered the knives ?
who designed them ?
who named them ?
and were did the main batch go ?
as of now it is still kinda of a some times on some times off to finding them
once i decided to give the one i had to a grand son
i wanted another one and my bro said he wanted that one or a simon ravatch (sp)
for to carry in his truck ...
so .. i have been watching and not seen a single one on ebay
no dought one will show up now ...
seems much of what we talk of here is reflected there
the invisible hand theory......an economic theory that prescribes...wherever there is a need or want...
