JK Knives Appalachia Special in Olivewood..

This has turned out to be a pretty good thread. I stopped smoking years ago and have a couple/three pipes stashed somewhere in our storage shed. Maybe I'll have to dig em out for a pic later.

Well, I did some rummaging around in the storage shed and came up with this pipe (Erik Nording, Freehand) and a couple of others along with some other related items. The knife is my Case 6292 CV Texas Jack that I carry daily. Also pictured are a tobacco tamper along with what they used to call a pipe nail, and a fancy pipe tool along with my old Zippo lighter and a cigar cutter. I like the pipe and am thinking of leaving it on my desk but since I don't smoke anymore, I'll return the rest to the box I found it all in in the shed. Oh, of course I'll continue to carry the Texas Jack.

I don't smoke but my grandpa did, a pipe as well. I should get some of his old pipes and take some shots. When he passed on I inherited his edc knife so it would make a great photo op.

Here's my trusty 108OT helping mod my Missouri Meerschaum. Took off the orange stain and clearcoat.

and heres the finished Meerschaum ready for smoking next to a similarly modded carbon opinel 6. The bolster end on the Opi works perfectly as a tamper. Both knife and pipe are finished by charring the wood and sanding down to 1500 with mineral oil (BLO on the knife).
