Pit's new manbag !

That's a nice looking bag you have there.

I EDC the Maxpedition Jumbo S-Type in Khaki everywhere I go. My wife calls it the Tactical Satchel.

Never leave home without it.

It's not a purse, it's a satchel. Indiana Jones had one.(The hangover) I like it, Pit. I've been wanting one as well. My big pack is too much for short hikes now with my boy. Awesome pics too!

LOL, just been watching that, it's on now !:D

Great pics and nice bag. I use the Fat Boy S lefty bag. Like many others I wish I could get out as much as you. It's also a beautiful area you travel.

.....but whenever they need something the murse always has it.......

My wife, kids and sister-in-law all respect my purse for that very reason and do not make fun of it (them:o), but they DO insist that I have a "bag problem" because I cannot walk past them in stores without being distracted.

Mrs Pit done good:thumbup::thumbup:
I am looking that one up online now,.... and I DON'T have a "bag problem!"
......and that does NOT constitute denial!:foot:

Slingers are nice, still use my Lunada, works well as a shooting bag too. Holds four, 25 round 12 gauge boxs. lol

I have the same bag. On mine, I have the Janus extension and the Medium sized rollypolly dump bag. It goes with me from the house, to the car and depending where I go with me.

I like over the shoulder bags too. I have a replica Israeli paratroopers bag that gets carried quite a bit.

Pit...

Its really hard for me to wear a bag type of thing...Its not like I didnt try u know...

im getting there....bag wise...lol...

Hi Pitdog, Yea I just love that elk antler kephart knife that I made. Ever since I seen that pic of Horace Kepharts knife

IMG_0694.jpg

I knew that was the perfect knife design, well, that is for me anyways.
Throw in my elk antler hatchet

and with them 2 items there is not much I can't do bushcraft wise in my neck of the woods.

Mistwalker, the bag is 9" tall and 3" thick for the main part of the bag and only 7" wide. As for carrying it I think this carrys better than my sitka or my noatak gearslinger. and I can change from left to right shoulder if I want. I just love that option.

I will get some pics taken of it on me in the next day or so and pm you Brian
then you can see if you think it might be still to bulky or not.

Bryan

Cool, I like how tough the Maxped packs are...I just want a smaller one than my sitka for some outings

I EDC a maxped jumbo, and my wife and friends are very often quick to mock the man-purse, but when I almost often have everything she needs in it, it's a friendly mockery.
"you have skills right?"
"skills?"
"You know, skills, like the kind of guy you send into the forest with a pocket knife and a q-tip and he builds you a shopping mall!"
"I can do this (pops cheek with finger) does that help?"

G'day Pit

.....Lot's of pockets for all ya survival bits. I just threw some bits in quick today, off the top of my head there is:

Army Cup and Canteen.
A full fire-kit.
Cordage.
Duct tape.
Signal Mirror.
Survival Blanket.
Vic Classic.
I know this list is off the top of your head, but where is the FAK? :D

...... How come you don't go with a daypack?
I must admit to having the same question whenever I see these satchel type posts.

Not owning one of these Murses' (man purses :D), I would like to know if they have any real advantages over a daypack other than personal preferences?

Kind regards
Mick

No sweaty back and easy access to the contents while on the move come to mind. That said, I don't own one either, though I've been thinking about getting one to set up as a bush kit. They seem pretty handy as long as you don't need to carry a ton of stuff.

The paratrooper pack can be rolled up when empty. I carry it on my bike bungeed to a seat rack.

Metro points. Extra metro points if you carry a bag with Chairman Mao or Che Guavara on it. Even more for a Hope & Change button.

Now I must confess that I have a manbag. No metro extra credit though.

I was going to put it in then didn't bother. Small cuts can be covered with the duct tape, anything serious and there ain't much I can do with a small FAK anyway !
