I like your solution better but it sounds like you tried one of those uselessly small wheels. Try a 5" pizza wheel, properly sharp, and it might surprise you.

I use to know how I cut pizza when I lived in NJ. Now that I live in SW Utah they don’t have pizza.

We've got this great place here called My Kitchen. They make fantastic pizza! Truly one of a kind.Nice knives! Some of you guys are making me hungry as Hell and some of you need to step up your pizza game! LOL
