This was a canceled custom order. So, I'm marking it down a bit from the get-go.
Regular price: Knife $175, Leather Sheath with firesteel loop $44, Chocolate Brown Kydex $22, +15 shipping = $256 Total
Marked down to $225 shipped, insured and PayPal G&S
1/8" 80crv2, Saber ground, Forge Scale Flats, Jimping. Desert Ironwood over Orange G10. Black pins and SS tube. 4 1/4" blade, 8 3/4" overall.
Includes Leather sheath with firesteel loop and Kydex sheath.
I began making PL knives 4 years ago. I've done leather work for around 20. I added kydex to my repertoire in the last 2 years. The heat treat on all of my carbon steel knives is done by me in a thermostatically controlled Evenheat knifemaking kiln. Each blade goes through a 3 stage normalization process, followed by heating to austenitic temperature and quench in Parks 50 oil. Then it goes through a 2 stage tempering process. Target hardness is 60 rhc. Scales are glued with West Systems G-flex epoxy. My aim is to produce heirloom quality tools with excellent craftsmanship that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment and service.
