Planning a trip and need some advice.

Bug dope is essential. Mosquito net hat/jacket would be advisable, along with rain gear/tarps/tent. Store your food safely away from critters. Don't rely on firewood for cooking; a gas or propane stove works even in the rain. And the cigars and whisky go without saying. Enjoy!

Alright my Canadian brothers. I am curious how the weather has been up there this year. Last time I was in Canada they were going through a bit of a dry spell. This caused a slightly higher rate of bear encounters.

Sorry, didn't see this...

It has been hot and humid for the past week or so. Lots of rain this season so far... so the bush is very lush and full of flying critters.

75-85 during the day, plus humidex

And, there seems to be an influx of yummy deer running around...

I can't imagine sitting in a tree waiting for a bear and then looking down and seeing a bear climbing the tree. NOPE! I would probably freak out and fall out of the tree.

I did the easy and the medium part of the river a few years back in a rafting boat, it was a bit rough on some of those waves where the boat got stuck in the wawe so we fell in the water a few times but it was really fun. with those special life wests you just pop back up when you go in the water.

This clip is from the easy part
