Please bring back Competition Finish!

I remember hearing that double cut was not so cheap, because the blade had to be finished to a satin point before doing the double cut process(bead blast I guess).

They're not going to give us the option for BIG finish on everything, because it takes more finishing time in the shop. The whole goal of competition finish is less processing time in the shop and a rough blade finish that many of us love. There just needs to be a disclaimer and a couple photos of what comp finish looks like on Busse's "blade finishes" page.

Just like the 'no choil' option I'd also like to see (at least on some sizes [small and medium for me. YMMV]), if the BIG SF finish was a premium option and cost extra like satin or G10, I think that it would work. The problem appears to be that Jerry and crew are experiencing the Red Queen problem: 'all the running that you can do, to keep in the same place'. They apparently do not currently have the crew and/or equipment to offer either at this point. Perhaps if we grunt and squeel long and loud enough at the trough, Jerry will hear our pleas and act. Until, then, cherish and abuse the choil-less and/or BIG blades that you do have and wait more or less patiently. All things come to he who waits.

Not to mention that in some ways, we might appear as ungrateful children to an outside observer. We are still experiencing a phenomenon never before seen in that Jerry and crew have released more new models/variants in the last three or so months than were available, sometimes, for years. Truly a Golden Age for Busse Combat. His Custom Shop has backed up far enough (18 months) that they're refusing new orders. If they weren't we could order these options and wait for 6+ months - 1+ years, just like the 'good old days'. Since we can't, we try to get the standard production crew to include these options. I'd be willing to pay and go to the back of the line to wait, but it seems Jerry and crew are busy enough trying to keep up with what is being offered as is. See "Red Queen " hypothesis. So we can't get them exactly the way that we want them right now. "Patience, Grasshopper." Get them now and mod them yourself, find a customizer, or wait for the Custom Shop to clear its backlog and accept new business. You'll have it 'till then to fondle/play with/use. Pretty good deal.

I would love to see any metallic finish but I think comp finish has an artistic value in its imperfection. I would love to have them back.
