GET THE REST OF THE PIECES UP (THE 1084 ONES!), AND A PIC OF THE NOT QUITE READY 50# AND THE LOAD OF STEEL IN THE CORNER, AND DON'T FORGET YOUR FAVORITE DRILL PRESS(with the crank!). AND A PICTURE OF YOUR OLD BUDDY ALDO DENTING YOUR PETER WRIGHT!

LOOKS GOOD BRO!

PS-If you start a club for Matt it will only go straight to his head and they'll be know talking to him!

Looooking good Bro:thumbup:  Like the shop tour.:D
I'm really glad you do not have a pic of Aldo's mug on your site, because yours is bad enough. ;) :D
Nice job Matt.

To be honest, I don't like the way you show photo's.
I want to choose from thumbnails, not go through a whole slideshow I don't have control over.

(but I like your work)

The website is very clean, but I agree with Hengelo.

Overall very nice website and work.

nice Mace and a great job Mr P :)
I too have to say Thumb nails load faster and you get to pick instead of taking time to scan it all. but it's a great start and clean..

Much better than many big company sites. Your layout is both good looking and straight forward. Navigation is a nonissue. My Grandpa who is not computer savy could use the site to its full effect, an important thing for a knife site IMO. Good pics, beautifull knives, bio, shop tour... great site. Kudos to Matt G and to you for a wise choice.

As much as I wish I could take credit for this, I was nothing more than the catalyst... a good friend of mine was forced into slave labor by me to fulfill this task, as a favor to me. Dave is a rather talented chap, and a good friend that I've known for years. We've traded debts before, this will just be one more.
My part in this was involving the organisation of the details, as well as acquiring (mainly through pestering and bullying) the various pictures and tidbits throughout.
I feel I owe Mr. Vitale a pretty great debt for not only introducing me to forging, but also for tolerating my incessant questioning and perpetual teasing (he's awfully good-natured, despite his toughguy appearance).

Thank YOU, Mace. You needed something, and I was glad I was there to help you get it!

...besides, I still haven't told ya what this is gonna cost ya!;) :D

You're right about the other stuff, Aldo... he needs to get more of his work photographed.
You dented his anvil? I'm impressed! SOoner or later I'll get my mitts on his precious Hofi hammer and screw that up, mark my words!:D

BTW, I'll never manage to be too concieted... as soon as I stand next to your beauty, I'm always humbled.:barf: :D

Nice site =)

One question for you, what's your adhesive for your 2x4 anvil stand? nail each layer to each subsequent with a layer of woodglue between?

I've got a laminated 2x10 'stump' right now but need to bulid a larger more hefty one, as well as a place to mount my stake anvil, and 2x4 studs are dirt cheap compared to 2x10s or larger.

Man!
Think you have enough tongs? :D

Nice site. The forward and back arrows could be a little brighter. Maybe my screen is a little dark, but I had a hard time finding them.

Nice job overall. Those Coop photos of your very nice knives really make the thing look like a magazine.

As someone who does general blacksmithing, i can answer the tong question for you... no, you can never have too many tongs!

As someone who does general blacksmithing, i can answer the tong question for you... no, you can never have too many tongs!

:D Ah, pure reason!:D  It's the axiom of all things tool-related!

I've been languishing in my little cave with only 4 tongs for 12 years now. I claim no virtue in this, as some might when they describe banging out a friction folder using only a pair of rocks and a rusty nail.

Still, that spidery outcropping on Mace's wall seems a tad excessive (read: send a few to me ... send a few to me!:D )
