Please check out my new web-site....

Thanks for the suggestion about the arrows, guys! It's fixed. My buddy Dave stumbled across this thread, read about the issue and fixed it last night.

Over 500 hits in approx. 24 hrs, with a few from as far away as Sweden and Australia! Guess people from all over frequent the knife forums!

Mace,

Nice site. I guess you threatened Matt with another  "Thumb Wrestling" match (totally unfair, with your weight advantage and past experience), if he didn't set you up on the internet.

Hey Larry! Let's make sure we get the facts straight here... Mace, in staunch fear of my raw masculinity, never showed up at the preordained time at the Ashokan Shaky Bridge of Death and Despair, thereby forfeiting the match and relinquishing the title belt to me.

Granted, I have to wrap the belt three times around my skinny little butt to get it to fit, but the title IS mine!;) :D

Hard to find a fault on that website.

I liked the way the arrows gave me control over what I wanted to look at.

I found myself checking back and forth at your shop photos to see how you set up the area around the forge.
I have a question about the post vise. In the photo it almost looks like the post vise is just sitting on the floor, is this correct?

Of all the knives you have photos of, I really like the fighters, and the part I like the best is the handles. The fighter handles work so very well with the shape of the steel.

Coool! I didn't even realize there were "arrows" the first day this was posted. They didn't show up on this laptop. Very, very nice!

Mace, what is the "brand" on that drill press just to the right of the Bader? That puppy is art deco cool. How old is it? Thx.

There is now also an icon for 'image selector' that allows you to scroll through the images now, instead of having to use the arrow system (which are also brighter now).

Apparently I'm never getting out of debt with Dave now!

Thanks for all the great and honest comments guys. I have to shout some thanks to Matts friend Dave...who was the real man behind the curtain. Dave found this thread, read all your responses and then went and fixed the site.
Thanks Dave.

Aldo.....You know your not allowed to use the Peter Wright....so don't even think about it.

Matt....If you touch my hammer I will have to throw a handfull of knives at you!:D

Justin...The anvil stand was made with.. about 22 2x4's a 5lbs. box of screws a big bottle of wood glue and a case of beer.:D

J. Caswell..... I'm gonna call my next band "Spidery Outcropping"

Allan...The post vice is actually off the floor a bit.....I have a wood spacer wedged in there now.

Matt,
My thumb has heald from the "tragic acident" that you say you know nothing about....and I have begun a strict training regime. You'll be swimmin with the beaver before the full moon rises at Ashokan.

Thanks again for all the nice comments.
Mace

Thanks mace =) Was just wondering because i put together almost the EXACT same thing this last week, 20 2x4s 4 lbs of 6d 2" nails, and a quart of woodglue. I was just worried that the glue and nails might not be enough to keep the layers from seperating on their on weight if i move it =)

Very nice Mace  It looks very professional ! Colors, Text, Set-up ......perfect ! Navigation....... straight forward. Gallery looks GREAT ! All in all......I LLLLLike It :D

I just noticed that the wood post if bolted to the floor?
http://www.laurelrockforge.com/shop.html

How did you ever get the guts to attach it to the floor like that forever?...Didnt the fear that you would end up needing to move it one day not matter?
And about your anvil support stand, how many 2X4s is that made of?

Thanks guys.

Allan, If I really needed to I can un bolt it.....but I'll have bolts sticking out of the floor.:D
