an orange military?? i didn't even know such a lovely beast existed. i think i just figured out what next months bonus is going towards.

I agree that you need to try a Para 2 if you haven't tried one out yet. The Military is too big even though I have fairly large hands but the Para 2 is just about perfect and is tip up.

Probably your sharpening technique. If you pull the tip of the knife off the stone or edge of a sharpmaker, then you can kiss the pointy tip goodbye.

And that is a D'allara. I've got a couple and they are pretty big knives and take up a lot of pocket space for it's size. Fits my hand great, though I'm not a powernoodle. The uncaged lock is a little more difficult to pull back than the caged version but not too bad.

I've learned not to do that anymore.. but just through usage I will lose my tip and be unable to restore it

back on topic... did you try this one?

It's an easy knife not to like...until you use it.

440V, D2, S90V, M4, XHP, S30V

Holy moly powernoodle!!! I think there is a chihuahua lost in all them folders! Damn man that is impressive.

Busse makes an optional accessory for it. Expensive, thick, mystery Infi steel, heavy handle, but a nice compliment.

This thread is cracking me up. I'm in the same boat. My orange Military has been an EDC blade for well over a year now, and no other knife I own cuts as well or seems as sharp. I don't know if it's the angle of the blade to the handle or what. I finish all of my knives on the Sharpmaker UF stones, but this orange Millie is just savage. There's something I really like about how well it carries for such a big knife. And the orange just seems to keep people from raising eyebrows about it.

Oh this one is easy. The CF M390 will kick your old S30V military out of your pocket. And I suspect if you're anything like me, you'll be sending the knife out to get something even better than the peel-ply CF scales, Lightning Strike carbon fiber.

That custom clip is very cool looking. Does screwless mean that the screw is hidden, or is it somehow glued on?

I really should look into some other flavors of the Military. An s90v or m4 one would hit the spot. Oddly enough all the Militaries i've owned have been s30v, just different color combos. Tony, that knife is SICK. As for the Sar 4, i've owned them.. I prefer the military.

The Military is actually one of the only knives out there that benefits from the carbon fiber treatment. I would pick one up if you don't have something similar already (and M390 kicks S30V's butt).

Oh I don't know, I think the Para2 also takes the carbon fiber pretty well. I think it's the nested liners that really helps cut down on the weight. Coupled with carbon fiber and my Para2 in S90V doesn't weigh a thing.

Speaking of which, the Para2 is the perfect EDC. The military can get a bit big, but the Para2 is just right.

There are two screws holding the clip on, but they are screwed in from underneath. The knife has to be taken apart to get to them.
