Please help me pick my next knife!

You’re on the wrong forum then….
Perhaps.
I like knives, have for 50+ years. I like guns.
All the knives and guns, save for a couple of old Fight’n Roosters and a couple of old Case Damascus steel knives, get carried.
I’m sure knives and guns both appreciate in value, assuming they have collectibility, but I’m too old IMHO to dish out big bucks on a knife or a gun and put it away until the demand for them peaks.

Grimsmo’s most certainly on my radar as well! I had Koenig edging it out slightly but might be rethinking that. I’m never too in love with the blade shapes on Grimsmos but I love the textured look of them.
I agree 100%. I really dislike the Norseman, but the new version of the Rask is sick! I’d take a Rask any day.

One day I’ll afford one lol. As a knife guy, this video of the Rask is worth watching…

Shiro for all the reasons already stated, and the fact that it's going to be the easiest to get your hands on.

Ok let’s get serious now lol.

I have 3 Shirogorov knives, a Neon NL, a F95NL, and the new Ursus. I also had a F3 in hand and didn’t care for how thick the knife was overall, I much prefer the thinner titanium frame knives. I think the action is better on them too.

I also have found I prefer the curved lines of the Neon and F95. The Ursus is the same size as the F95 but has thinner blade stock and the frame is just a touch thinner as well which makes it a nice slim carry, but the edges are more angular. I don’t like the sharper front corner of the flipper tab. I’m sure the point will be less noticeable over time as it breaks in more but the action just feels tighter all around. It fires really fast compared to my F95 and I think the stiffer lockbar tension and detent help that.

To me they both have their plusses and minuses. No idea about the other brands you‘re looking at so I’m no help there 🍺

Sorry for the oil smudges on the blade on the Ursus, I had just wiped the scales some as they were pretty dry looking out of the box. My guess is they are walnut.

I’m definitely leaning towards the F95. What do the various letters after that mean? I love the looks of some of these micarta inlays I’m seeing, yours is fantastic!!
