Please help me pick my next knife!

I’m definitely leaning towards the F95. What do the various letters after that mean? I love the looks of some of these micarta inlays I’m seeing, yours is fantastic!!

The “NL” stands for “inlay”. If there’s no inlays, they are usually labeled as a “Zero”. The Neon has green micarta and the F95 in my pics is the Monkey Edge version with red G10.

I have a couple of Shiros; a Neon that I like a lot and a big, clunky Tarbargan that I never carry. The Neon is an awesome knife, but in the price range you’re talking about, you could go full custom like a Rod Olson M9 button lock. The pride of ownership of a custom is off the charts compared to a production knife.

You could likely find a Spydie Slycz Bowie for $600 or less: my Fave.
I’ve spent a lot of time drooling over that knife. But I’ve got too many spydercos already and have trouble with the secondary market markup on that one, so not sure it’s in my future!

Now that I’m diving a little deeper into Shiro land, can someone tell me if multi row bearings is worth going after or if single row is still full Shiro awesomeness? Really like the F95 looks, not sure if they come in both single and multi?

My Neon and Ursus are single row, my F95 is multi-row and I have not seen a difference in the action, they’re all equally smooth and I wouldn’t shy away from the single row as being inferior in any way.

They do make F95’s in both styles, the one posted by Zulus above with the crazy micarta is an example of the SRBS (they also make that knife in a dark crazy micarta over the colored). There’s other F95 variants with the SRBS as well and they usually have the “lower” grade steels like Elmax. The price jump to MRBS can seem excessive but it also includes the addition of better steel like M390.
