I am in a current trade with a gold member, he has great feedback but im having some problems. I sent him a DC# and his knife is on the way no prob. He sent me a DC# and its 2 digits too long and it says:

Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on May 18, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

So i know its only been a day but there is no statis change and the trader will not EMail or contact me back after numerous attemps to contact.
the last thing he said is that its at the post office.
I dont know what to do cuz i could be losing a really great rare knife for nothing. HELP!!!:confused::confused:

Relax man...sometimes the USPS status doesn't update till the package is delivered. Believe me, I've seen it done. Always have a parcel insured if you have any qualms about it being lost.

yeah im freaking out because the knife im trading is one of my favorites, i really dont like that the guy wont respond.

Don't panic. It's only been one day.

The Post Office information means he printed the label at home. His last message means he took the package with that label to his local office. The tracking won't be updated until the mail reaches some cutoff point -- probably delivery.

Many people don't check email more frequently than once a day, especially in the middle of a business week.

Wow the guy must have saw this post and he called me to ease my pain so no worries now. thanks though!

I've actually had packages show up on the doorstep after a several day trip before the usps tracking picked up that it had even left it's initial location.

What Esav said. If you print the label at home and drop the package off at the PO it will take longer for the tracking information to update than if you ship directly from the PO.
You should see the status update when it reaches a main sorting facility.
