Not the buyers responsibility to do anything. Frankly he could have said something negative and never given you the opportunity to "make it right". I say Undo the deal and you clean up the tape and re-sell it. Just my .02

Guys let's get serious here for a minute, this is not rocket science, put some lighter fluid on a rag and rub it off, works for me everytime. Geez.:rolleyes: :yawn:
 
Quite often, even after the residue has been completely removed, there will still be a mark left. It is probably a chemical reaction between the metal and the chemicals in the glue.

This isn't a buyer and seller situation, it's a trade, that can sometimes make things more complicated.
