Please send thoughts and prayers to Buck forum regular Oregon.

I owe the Buck Family, this forum, the entire collector community for all time an apology for losing the knives I dearly loved & proudly displayed in my home and right here in this forum. Please accept my humble apology. I will not collect any more antique items, full stop. I have retrieved a few pieces already, stop to cry, then dig some more. Photos would make you ill.

It may hurt but it may help you inside your heart and maybe cause someone else to test his dryer and save a fire by hearing your stories. Feel free to post them all even if no mention of Buck knives. Their loss is worth 10,000 pages.

Photo gear...?

Prayers for Oregon and his family, thank Heaven no one was more seriously injured. That's got to be one of the harder things a family can have happen.

Tim

No amount of knives can equal a loved life. Let insurance do it's work, hopefully for the best. Love the ones you're with. Lessons to be learned. Ask for help if needed.

Sometimes I think the Buck knives are only a vehicle to be a part of
this great community. I think this works without Buck knives too.
Steve, my thoghts and prayers to you and your family, and don't hesitate
to ask if you need anything.

Sending prayer and hope for the family from Arizona. Oregon is always first to help a fellow member out, if there is anything we can do to help please let me know.

Its fire season where I live and in the next province over, the town of Ft McMurray has lost over 1600 homes and the town of 80,000 has been evacuated.

Im sure you're feeling what they are.

Be glad to donate a knife or two when you're set up again.

Thank you gentlemen for your kind words and thoughts.

I lost my camera and all CDs & DVDs of stored photos. But I have on imageshack/photobucket some nice proof of ownership.

There were many many rounds of ammo matching antique weapons that cooked off When my day-sleeper son was awaken by a neighbor's running (volunteer fireman who understood backdraft so didn't kick doors) knocking pounding yelling "fire get out" (there were three cars still parked there at our house in the woods) the whole house which was on fire inside and this brave man returned to the neighbor's property, per the neighbor's story, and she cld. 911.

Thanks for this update. It is enough to know you and your family made it out safe. Keep in touch and let us know what we can do for you. DM

Steve, Don't want to re-direct this thread but with your permission I would like to start another. A thread others can tell their tales of Buck knives flooded, lost, found, burnt, hurricane soaked, damaged by thoughtless acts or dumb actions. There ought to be some interesting and sad tales out there that could be shared. An cause all to pause and be thankful. It sounds like several have a suffering by the comments.

Again do not start that here, when Steve replies I will start a new thread or wait a spell till he's ready to read such.

Continued strength for the trials of the coming days. I have a 5MB Fugi I can send you with 10X, not a lot of pixels but its a sweet ole sharpie.
