I just threw the stag out there as all the wood options and that stag are leftover pieces from prior projects. I DO NOT recommend that Stag for this one. You nailed it...not enough contrast with a white barebottom :)

The rosewood is great looking stuff, but I'm leaning towards the leftover maple burl from the other one you did for me. :thumbup:

Looks like none of your Buck Buddies gonna say anything for suggestions.:p

Here's my first choice:
Burled Maple, NS spacer, White micarta with black liner.

How fat do you want the barebottom??;)

Sounds great to me.:thumbup: What do you think? I'm thinkin' that a little swell towards the rear would look good.

OK then, the plan is set. Now I just gotta knock it out.
