Well as the title states right now Im trying to decide between a PM2 or a custom Griptilian for my next edc knife. Which one do yall think I should get? Any and all comments and questions are welcomed.

thanks,

I've had both, but prefer Grips. I also prefer Ritters to Benchmades.....the blade on the ritter is just awesome. Finally, I also add either Wilkins or Cuscadi scales to the grip and it becomes a thing of beauty.....you spend a little more, but it is then exactly how you want it and is as dependable as any knife you could ask for!! Enjoy......

Having owned both and enjoyed using both. I would have to say the PM2 is what I would choose. The only thing to be careful with is the extremely pointy tip. It feels a bit more sturdy than the Grip, but the grip is a heck of a knife. You wont regret either.

I have both a ParaMilitary 2 and a couple of Griptillians, albeit not customized. The PM2 looks and feels more premium. However, it's hard to beat the added value that customization brings to the table.

Between the 2 I say pm2 hands down. As previously mentioned the Ritter Grip is vastly superior to the standard grip models because of the blade shape and grind. Now, if you were asking pm2 vs Ritter with custom scales, I'd say Ritter. In fact, 2 of my most carried edc blades are the pm2 and a Ritter mini with cuscadi carbon fiber micarta scales. Both are great, but the para2 trumps a regular grip any day of the week.

Those are my two primary folders....camo para 2 and Ritter Grip with cuscadi scales. Before the cuscadi scales, the para 2 got the nod, now the Ritter grip is #1. Lot more expensive blade of course now too though...

Both are great and you will be happy either.

I own a PM2. I have a Ritter Grip on the way in the mail. I love both, but cant see the Grip kickin out the Pm2

These happen to be my favorite EDC knives and I've owned several of each. Both have their merit and choosing one might be a matter of brand loyalty and/or price. A stock PM2 can be had for right around $100 and a stock mini around $70. "Stock" I give the nod to the PM2 with a great grind, S30V steel, revolutionary lock & G10 scales. The grip is no slouch though with very good steel, a lock that is not only proven but one of the most entertaining and easy to use mechanisms in the knife world. Both made in the USA.
The one consistent gripe about the grips is the scales. While proven serviceable they tend to look & feel like cheap plastic. Some can't get around this and some don't care. I found that saving up for some custom scales can take the grip to another level and if you add the scales to a Ritter blade then it's a wrestling match!

I prefer my grips with custom scales...

Depends which you buy...I want to say my Cuscadi's were south of $100...but I might be wrong. I think the Wilkins are more.

That tip comment surprises me. Is that the stock Grip? The tip on my Ritter Grip is far sturdier than that on the para's. Not to knock the para, I like the point and it's sturdy enough for me and how i use folders.
