PM2 or Custom Griptilian?

I've got a couple of each, both are excellent knives. I'd say the Paramilitary 2 has a slight advantage because of price. You can get a Para 2 for around $100, while custom Griptilian scales alone cost almost the same (some are actually more expensive).

Personally, I don't like adding stuff to guns or knives that cost more than the knife or gun itself. A Ritter Grip with custom scales can easily go over the $200 mark, and as great a knife as it is, it faces some serious competition in that price range.

Warning, CuScaDi's website pretty much sucks.
Not sure why.

They make it very difficult to simply browse the selection and make a purchase.

The truth is, both are great knives. The grips on the BM do not bother me and I think it funny that people do not mind this material on other knives but complain about it on the BM. The stuff does not tear up unless you run over it with a tank or steam roller.

However, if you are not the kind of a guy who will actually buy the custom grips, and the stock grips on the BM bother you, get the PM2. You will come out cheaper and get a knife of custom quality right out of the box.

Both are quality knives.
And it's hard to decide for everyone.

I'd like to suggest the Grips. Deployed in mission with heavier knives, this one is the one I used most. Easy of opening, usability, ergo and grip are fantastic. And you can start with a reputable 154CM steel.

Even better if you take a Ritter one.
Now they are going in M390 steel that is even better, for few bucks more.

I really don't mind the factory scales, plus I love their orange. But if you (and me) choose to have custom scales, you will have a real heck of a knife.

Go Grips go!
:)
