  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Have a user in S30V and just acquired one in 20CV. Currently on the hunt for M390 & 204-P models.
M390 and 204P are basically the same steel as 20CV. Unless you are pursuing some particular g10 colors (like Red for m390 PM2 and forest green for 204p PM2), I'd try out Rex45, cruwear, or M4 PM2.

I was finally able to order a PM2 Cru-Wear!! I'm excited to compare to my Maxamet beater.
Happy for you!!! I love mine! Can't wait to put it to the test!

Might I ask why your Maxamet is considered a beater?

It's a beater since it has literally booted every other knife I own back into my storage box. It's just such a great knife and the steel is amazing. I basically use it for everything including cutting up boxes, working in the yard, and even some light dinner duty. I don't abuse it but it sees use every single day. It does take a little work to sharpen if I let it get dull but it's still manageable. It also has developed a natural patina over the last six months. All my Chris Reeves are back in their boxes because of the Maxamet PM2.
