PM2 with copper scales and DLC REX45

T8 on the Stop Pin, T10 on the Pivot (and T6 on the pocketclip).
Thank for the help. I got it working like a PM2 should now. Stop pin was actually loose, so I had to snug that up. It took about 1 1/2 full turns. That didn’t help, so I backed the pivot screw out to what seems like an imperceptible amount, it was barely moved. That did it. It’s perfect now. And no black screw coatings were harmed in the entire process. Thanks again for your help. I went from really disappointed with the knife to it now being one of my top three favorites.

Pictures don't do it justice, gorgeous!. I didn't equate the weight from the specs until I held it, very heavy! And I love it, kind of the antithesis of titanium. It will probably be worth a fortune in the future when the copper runs out. Kinda fun to compare it to the other handle materials on my other Spydie's. No need for a glass breaker on this thing.

Maybe I'm the odd guy out. I'm just not liking the weight + how smooth it is. It's definitely beautiful and will get better with age.
Thinking it maybe trading material. Or just get different scales. Should have got the 390 or 110 para 2 to work with. I like my knives like guns. Gritty grips

That would mean liners too.

Hmm. It doesn't look right to me. I associate PM2s with G10. If I want a heavy folder with lots of metal and patina I'd probably go for a Buck 110/112. I like the Blurple S110V -- actually thinking about a PM3 with that. But glad you cuprophiles are happy with it; I'm sure it will remain in demand.

I don't mind heavy folders and carry them regularly! That being said, This knife feels odd compared to stock Paramilitary 2. After using a standard PM2 for so long , The heft of the handle with the light blade doesn't jive personally. Probably swap the DLC Rex 45 blade into another model and sell the scales , Or trade it on the exchange for something else.

I actually wish I had a Rivers Edge exclusive PM2 to blade trade - I'd like to see that blade paired with the copper.

I was almost having a little tinge of buyer's remorse between the moment I ordered and when it arrived yesterday, but that was quickly diminished the second I opened the box. Far and away the heftiest PM2 I have (only have 3 others, and all g10 scales) but it feels great. Of course I've also carried a Leatherman MUT as an EDC in the past, so this is still kinda svelte compared to that.

I won't even bother adding photos since as others have stated, they don't do it justice. Maybe when I have some time to bust out the R5 and try to get some high quality pics.

First foray into REX45, but from everything I've read its like a slightly better M4, and I LOVE my M4 PM2.

I'm really enjoying this knife.
However... the Detent is to strong for my liking.
Feels as though the blade is sticking when I want to open it.

I've tried loosening the pivot, little bit oil.
I really don't want to disassemble it.

I just purchased one today.

Last time I checked, BHQ didn't ship to Australia and I don't ever watch for exclusive releases - so imagine my surprise when I saw this!

One question: this being a linerless lock design - is the blade itself compatible with normal pm2 scales and liners?

What I want to do is get aftermarket scales for it (REX45) and donate an s30v, with the copper scales to my brother.
