Pocket Brick - Friend or foe?

"After you sir."

OMG! The dreaded "Sir" appellation. Used to be, the only time I heard the word "Sir" was when it was followed by

"...You're making a scene"

Reading through a lot of the comments, it seems a lot of people align with my view on the weight of a knife.
Yes, at 6'3" 250, an extra 4-6 oz means nothing with regards to the weight on my bones and muscle. But it's not a weight lifting issue. It is usually a "things staying up" issue. If I am wearing slacks, shorts, jogging outfit - for decorative purposes only, no jogging anymore, a heavy knife, particularly when added to all the other crap in my pockets, can often pull the damn things down. Then there is the flopping around if it is in the pocket rather than on a clip, which I generally don't use.

Yes jeans hold a heavy knife closer and tighter. But tight jeans mean harder to get your hand in your pocket. Not to mention grabbing a big knife and trying to get it out. True the low carry clip works better and tends to go with jeans rather than slacks or a suit. As usual, we all have different views, but I was cheered to see many views and experiences we share as well!

True enough.
Although the moment I started carrying a walking stick, girls flirting with me came to a sudden and complete end.
Instead, now oftentimes pretty girls hold the door open for me and say "After you sir."

You know why?

It was out of respect.

Dan of Bazz Clazz Dan of Bazz Clazz I imagine tight jeans pushing a bulky knife into my leg would bother me more than anything.

Personally, bulkier/+5 pound knives are all fun and games until it's time to dress up. And by dress up i mean anything from nice jeans and a movie to dress pants at a friend's wedding.
The person who previously mentioned not being able to fit your hand into your pocket nailed it in the head

I think the Sea Eagle is pretty bad. Soft detent, blade falls out easy, lock up is loose. Regret buying it.
I agree in part. Yes the detente is soft no doubt. As far as the blade falling out; not my experience although the knife will open for me with a hard flick of the wrist. The detente won't let mine gravity drop. As far as the lock up, I have had zero issues. Lock up is solid, no blade play horizontally or vertically. I'm a bit of a stickler about lock up and have sent knives back because they were unreliable locking. Won't even mess with trying to correct it. If QC is that bad, I send it back. Had one manufacturer follow up with me after I returned the knife and got a refund. They sent me another one NC to show that it was not their normal quality. It definitely was far better and hat's off to them for being proactive. Lot of companies would have written me off as a "bad customer", but they didn't and they made it more than right.
