Pocket checking strangers - pickup lines

Does this smell like chloroform to you?


Whoops you meant pick up lines about knives... I occasionally ask if I see someone pull out a knife what they're carrying. I have a fellow enthusiast buddy who works with me on occasion, and we always have a show and tell session before we start for the day.

Hmmm, i wouldn't be pleased if someone spotted my knife. I went thru 4 years of nursing school after a career in Law Enforcement. I only told once to one of the other students (school assignment) that i carried and collected knives. Although she saw me for 4 years almost daily she told me she never realised that the clip was a knife or even saw the clip. And that's the way i like it. I almost never see other people wearing clips, and don't like other people looking at me. I live in Europe and people mind their own business here. We don't go out talking to complete strangers here and frankly that's the way i like it. What i carry and why is my own business. I like the "gray man" approach so beeing made on the street is something i dislike.
 
I've seen a strider in public while standing in line at a dairy queen...
Guy came in to work on HVAC at my work and i spotted an Izula on his belt. I said hey, you like that izula? He goes... it's the II. I said oh, where did you pick that up from? He goes... amazon. I said right now i have the 4 but i've been thinking about an izula. He goes yeah it's a great knife, i'd recommend it.

That was all.

This is a laudable exchange, both in terms of content and advice.
 
Was at a local restaurant for brunch. Spoke to the owner and then noticed the Benchmade clip.

Was a 950 rift that saw plenty of use. 2.5 hours later I said goodbye.

I generally do not like people in the wild. Whether or not they may be carry a cool knife does little to dissuade the fact that I probably will not like them. I'm a lonely old a-hole.

The mask mandates have made it much easier to rob people and convenience stores. Wanted: Masked man for string of robberies. Description: Most likely identifies as male, tall, dark hair, mixed race. Describes 65% of the people in Chicago.
