Everything legal anyway :eek::D

for some reason, there was a decent amount of dislike for sog folders when i last checked. folks thought it was overpriced for the quality and lamented too much play in some of the folders. i got my folder for 60 and did not experience any play with the blade so who knows. i just know that there are a lot of spyderco, emerson, and zt folder diehards out there. looking into the zt 200 for a replacement though. unless ESEE makes the hest folder first...

ah hell. i'm gonna buy their folders anyway.

Like I said, I own several. And I own several other brands, or have, including Spyderco. But mostly Benchmades. I'm a diehard Benchmade fan. But if someone wants to say SOG is overpriced for their quality.... then they better not be comparing them to Spyderco or Benchmade. Because IMO, after having used all three, the SOG is the least overpriced.

Yah I run into that here and there, but everything I've set my sog to, its performed, flawlessly. And it still has its damn edge....Alot of die hards out there though, but thats just the way things are, alot of car guys are like that too, this past weekend, was the same thing, had alot of guys frowning on one of my cars, i had a camaro ss, a 240sx, and my mrs' new m3 coupe. They didnt mind the euro being there, but when they saw the 240, its like clouds gathered. Until they saw the v8 LS3 under the hood :(

but even than some people were sour faced.

I personally like whatever works, even bastard swapping or mixing parts, and brands :P that goes with gear too. So eh. However a sog to say emerson imo is like a 240 to a corvette, yah the 240 ain't bad...but it sure as hell ain't a corvette lol. My Mrs fav sogs are the Aegis and Flash II. Mine too.

From what i got SOG is a great company. And they have some of the best tanto style folders on the market (thicker and stronger tip). Actually I'm looking to get a Trident or an Aegis with a tanto point, just wanna try to held them and check them out first.

What's the little prybar thing? I've been looking into getting something along the lines of a Atwood Prybaby.

I think that's a Gerber Artifact.

Here's what was on me today.
....This is a 'heavy loadout' when I'm wearing cargo pants. The tin is my mini PSK.

Here's what in the pocket organizer.

These are the various knives i most commonly carry, depending on what I'm doing.

How do you like the subclaw? I was thinking of picking up a wharncom (same thing but wharncliffe blade) for work and to use as a money clip possibly.

The Boker and CRKT fill similar roles, they are both very compact knives that are still effective.

I really like the Subclaw, you may have noticed that it's the only non-multi-tool folder in regular rotation. The shape and thin blade make it an amazing slicer. (Also it came so sharp I found it slightly scary at first) The handle ergonomics are fantastic. I've never figured out how to flick it open, but a slow deployment or a spyderco drop works fine. The mini lanyard is functional, I grab it with my pinky to help with extraction from the pocket. It has a permanent twist in it so that it's less likely to snag on things.

The CRKT Minimalist, and the Photon Microlight on it's sheath, is on me almost 24/7.
The fit and finish are really nice. The steal is ok. It will readily take a truly razor edge, and it seems to hold it about as long as my SAK. Ergonomics in use are not quite as good as the Boker, but still better than you would think. Also the blade is thicker.

If I lost either one of them I would replace it asap.

Yep, it's a Gerber Artifact. It's fairly thick and not as slick as an Atwood but it works for me.
Artifact Features:
•Phillips head screw driver
•Chisel edge (blunt unless you care to sharpen it) scraper/pry tool end -a bit too thick to use as a flathead screw driver.
•Fold out replaceable X-Acto Blade w/liner lock
•Bottle cap opener

I like the looks and functionality of that "Artifact," but the Exacto blade worries me. Just don't like the idea of that thing in my pocket.

Yeah, yeah I know this tread has been abound for a while. Anyway here is my pocket dump.
