I regularly EDC my Graham Brothers Razel, an interesting knife designed specifically as a fixed blade pocket knife.

The knife is right about 7" end to end (3 1/4" blade), but this is the standard Utility Razel. They also make a Stubby Razel (6" OAL, 2 1/4" blade), and the Wee Razel (4 1/2'' OAL, 1 3/4'' blade). They can be ordered with a leather or kydex sheath designed specifically for in-pocket carry. Blade steel is S30V, 154CM, or CPM 154CM (heat treat by Paul Bos).
If you're looking for a less expensive knife (Graham Brothers do all custom stuff), CRKT offers a few Graham Brothers designed knives, including a Stubby Razel. It has a kydex sheath, also designed for in pocket carry.

I've gotten lots of compliments on my Razel, and with pocket sheath makes it fairly unobtrusive for a fixed blade. Additionally, the unique design of the razel seems to be more office friendly. I think the lack of normal "point" on it makes it look more utilitarian, and gives the impression that it's 100% tool, and not a weapon.
I can testify on the usefulnes of this design. I bought a Bacho Builders Wrecking Knife for work and call it my Nizzle (knife chisle). It goes great camping too because it's made to be batoned with hammers let alone branches. The chisel part makes putting a point on a stick for poles or whatever super easy too.
Wow, i could seel these things. haha.
