Well I use that last knife I acquired to open the box of the new one, it just keeps repeating itself, also I'm heavily into wooden model ship building, I use Moras and Opinels for that.

Lemons with tequila?!?

Lemon, Lime....who really cares? The tequila and salt are the most important! LOL ... a lot of bars don't have limes, as lemons are more commonly used. I prefer lemons. I have lived in Japan, Spain, USA and Cuba...Lemons!

What?!

I don't know what type of bars you go to!

:D

Favorite use? Whittling. Most common and satisfying use? "Ah goodie, a box, I just so happen to have a beautiful sharp thing in my pocket to slice it open!"

Probably cutting drywall because the tip don't break like on utility knives or scraping gum and gunk off stuff or for trimming plants

True. I have not been to a bar that did not have limes. Maybe an international thing?

On topic, I use my pocket knife for just about everything. Hard to narrow it down. I'll steel what lefty said: opening a package with my next knife in it!

Using it as a learning tool to teach the younger members of my extended family safe knife handling and how to open a one-handed folder.

It's very satisfying when a child at a family function, brimming with curiosity, asks me about the folder in the sheath on my belt, and after a few minutes of instruction they are able to open it safely (with two hands of course because their hands are too small for one-handed opening), and I can see that both a passion for knives, and an awareness of knife safety, have taken root in their minds. :)

Not every child in my extended family has a father or man around to teach them about knives. So I often get to be the "cool uncle" who teaches them.

Sometimes I get to cut down foam packing sheets. It's very satisfying and causes almost no wear on the blade.

Probably cutting small limbs or saplings. You can easily saw (combo-edge for life) through a 1 inch diameter sapling in just a few seconds if you bend it and cut it right at the bend. I really wanted to carry one of those hard-use $400 knives, but the thick blade and lack of a combo-edge made the task I mentioned above nearly impossible, even with a coarse edge (DMT 325 grit?).

Back when I carried a cheap Schrade CH7, I loved throwing it at trees. It lasted me almost 20 years.

I carry a Spyderco Stretch combo-edge currently.
