For some reason, I have had the bug for Big A$$ folders, I figure I would post a few side by sides for those who like big folders. Most of these are hard use no nonsense pocket beasts. I am sure some might disagree, and yes there are plenty others out there(feel free to post pics), but these are the ones I have currently. The para is usually my go-to edc, light weight and serious cutting power with a solid lock. Great steel and materials. Next we have the spyderco Gayle Bradly, amazing steel, solid lock, great F&F and an all around great knife. The spyderco manix 2, great price, solid lock and construction. The manix is the most affordable in this group. The ZT 551, awesome Ti framelock, great design/designer, great steel and beefy lock. The BM adamas 275, big and solid, good steel, great lock, and just a massive hard use folder with a great design. The BM 630 skirmish, the most fluid design in this group, great steel, massive Ti framelock, and by far the biggest folder I own. I love all these, and they all suit the role of a big beefy folder.

Feel free to post some comparison pics of your big folders :D

Sorry(like everyone says) for the poor cell phone pics

I am partial to the 0300 series.....

The hogue was just not as beefy as I expected..... Traded shortly after I got her.

That Adamas 275 just might get me back in the Benchmade corner again. Nice knives but I usually find something else I like better. The Adamas is a winner, though.

I feel the same way, I do love my D2 mini grip, but most BM's don't really grab me the way others do. I also have the hogue(3.5) and I really like it, I wish I woulda got the bigger one. Still a great knife. Had a 350KW but just didn't do it for me.

The Fox/Citadel Deimos and Emerson Super CQC-8 are two of the larger folders I like to carry. A 4.5"blade seems to be the sweet spot fir my large folders. Too bad there don't seem to be many in that size range.

There is something to be said for the Big Honkers. Small EDC knives are fine and dandy, but a big, fat knife can do just about anything a smaller one can (though sometimes not easily), though the converse is not true.

For many of us, though, its just fun to pack a big knife sometimes. [insert manly grunts here]

Big folders in the current rotation: Spyderco Military and Chinook III, Boker Mini Resurrection, Hogue 4" drop, Mission MPF-1 drop.

Big folders not in the current rotation: Ontario Retribution I, Camillus Maxx bowie, DDR Madd Maxx dagger -- hey, I could cut myself on these monsters! :D I could add the Cold Steel Zytel 6" Ti-Lite, 5" Gunsite, 5" Voyage clip, and Vaquero Grande.

I have had my eye on a milie for a while, but the para 2 kinda fills that role and for some reason unknown to me I just haven't brought myself to get one.

I know what you mean.

HTM-DDR Madd Maxx 5.5
Spyderco Military
Hinderer XM-24

My pocket monter is a Lion Steel SR-1AL. The new Lion Spy is even larger, and the Graymans are pretty large, but out of all beefy folders, I probably like Hortons the best

Pocket monster, I don't think it qualifies, but the Benchmade LFK is big.

Looking into the Onslaught!

I've had that bug for the past 45 years!! I've always had a warm spot and desire for the larger folders.:)

My 3.5" XM-18 is ultra beefy. Not the largest I've carried as far as length is concerned but its tough as hell. The largest folder in my collection currently is a Tanto Voyager XL.
