I like big folders :) . Here's an old (and crappy ) picture, I have to update it.

which one has the grooved handle

Not sure if your question is directed at me SJ, but if it is, then the grooved handle belongs to my Lion Steel SR-1. The handle is made from a solid block of titanium and is a framelock.

Btw, has the 275 arrived yet?

Well this was my relply to the last thread about big folders.
The Grayman Satu is one of the beefiest knives I know of.

Cold Steel Espada XL and DDR Madd Maxx are the ones that pop to mine for "pocket monsters." Also that giant folding monstrosity that Crocodile Dundee uses to eviscerate the snake in the 3rd movie.

Except for a slipjoint and a MT OTF, these are all the folders I have at my house.

Original "Fresno Felon" Spartan
DDR custom HD Maxx heavily modded
BM Skirmish waved and doubled edged with full Ti backspacer
Collaboration balisong by Nathan Dewey myself

For some reason, I have had the bug for Big A$$ folders

You asked for it. Here you go.

Darrel Ralph Mad Maxx 9. I dubbed it the Lightsaber because of its 9 inch blade. It's not mine, but it's definitely a pocket monster, such a monster in fact that you'd need some very, very deeeeeeep pockets.

Check out the Black Bear Knives Intimidator. 6.75" of S30V and it has a wave-like opening feature.

The Black Bear Intimidator has a listed hardness of rc 55-56. That's waaay too low for me. If I was that worried about strength I'd pick a different steel.

My sincere thanks to everyone for the great show.

You reminded me that I have not been keeping up.

I always like Elishewitz. I need the 4" Hogue Drop Point.

Without this thread I would have totally missed the new CS 6" Hold Out.

I have the old MADD MAXX 5.5s in Serrated and Plain, but I missed the newer 7" & 9" Blade DDRs.

You have provided more to add to my wish list. I had never seen the Hossum Retribution 1 Folder.

Just 2 comments.

The AFCK is very fast. The 4" Blade is very nice, but I consider this to be a slim and light carry.

The Benchmade Bob Lum Onslaught is an excellent heavy knife, Opens fast and locks solid.
