I Think I posted this on another thread, but I just sew a "pocket slip" right into my pocket.
Keeps my knife vertical and separates it from other stuff in my pocket.

I like this idea. No reason a slip has to be leather. Any heavy fabric should do a find job.

Yes the wife had a Old heavy denim tote bag I been using. Sewing is a nice thing to do on cold days!

I've tried to like them but for me it is an extra step to take a knife out and use it.

I cant believe the replies since I was away for a bit.

I carry in a slip at work to help keep my knife from falling out of my pocket. In jeans I just carry in the watch pocket.

This is what i do as well. I take it a bit farther and make my own slips custom fit to hole 1 or 2 knifes, a small AAA battery sized flashlight (maratac) and a space pen. The slip is there to hold it all together.

I like them. A rectangular slip keeps the knife upright in the pocket. Rounded bottom slips will lay down. I prefer upright. At the office I use a slip, out and about a pancake holster.
