Pocket Slips?!

Those small KSF slips in the old style look really nice, size looks perfect for the #15....wish they still did those. The universal is nice but a little too big for smaller patterns like that.

I will say the quality of the KSF leather is very high, they are really well made out of nice leather.

Ronal G. Ryder of Backroom Leather makes lovely different sized slips in different colors plus back pocket slips and Buckeroos

I went by his website and it states that he has shutdown his shop. I liked his stuff.

This slip is part of a mag lite pouch, cut a little shorter than it used to be. It does a good job of making the Railsplitter disappear in you pocket.

Hello guys and gals! I've got a slip that's brown leather with stitching down each side and it's about 2.5" X 5". It's a KSF brand. I'm not into them. If anyone would like to try it or wants it, claim it here and PM me a mailing address. I'll get it out to you.

I don't post here to much, mostly just a watcher and occasionally buying off the forum but i was actually just looking to buy a slip for my GEC 54 my wife got me a while back, it keeps trying to jump out of my pocket. How are they? They seem large from what i can tell.

I just wanted to add that I use a KSF Main Street pocket slip. I bought it from KSF about 18 months ago. I opted for the waterproof treatment and it came in a dark brown leather.

It seamed to break-in easier than the orange colored version that used to ship with the Northwoods knives before they started changing slip designs.

This is a great all around slip and I’ve carried multiple GEC frames like the 35, 15, 57, 62, and 77. So anything up to 3-3/4 inches should work.

I’ve returned to this slip after trying other carry options like a wallet/slip combo.

I think you’ll find the Main Street slip rides well in the front pocket of jeans or dress pants.

Good on you Randy, enjoy John:cool::thumbsup:

I like the Slips, especially for my smalls.

I carry my 09 Esquires in small AG Russel's that I trimmed at the bottom and re-sewed. I carry my 14 Ironwood in one of the Knivesshipfree small buffalo slips.

Thanks Randy for your generosity. I just got the slip in the mail last night and I'm putting it to use right away. I'm hoping this will open up my options to carry some bigger knives. Who knows, perhaps an #82 Stockman will be in my future :D
Thanks again, -John

Looks great, John! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
IMHO, you can't go wrong with a big stockman (or a sowbelly stockman). ;)

These are the slips I have. The small ones are sized nicely for AAA lights and smaller knives like the medium stockman in the picture. The bigger one is good for larger stockmans, and I have a Buck 302 that fits in nicely, etc. I usually only have one small one in my front left pocket with a light, but if I decide to carry a traditional I can put two slips side by side in the pocket and barely be able to tell they're there. I would like to try some leather slips eventually though.

I must be slow - I just toss it in my right side pants pocket. Never gave it a thought... using a slip never seemed necessary as it would have to add bulk (slim-ness is really important to me as I have to wear dress pants m-f; but I don't downsize - I carry Ratcliffe muskrats, 47's & 32's mostly). NO offense to those who like them, but one of the funniest video's I've seen is a couple young custom maker guys hanging around Tony Bose's shop & he's holding court - one guy pulls out a custom folder in a slip & Bose busts his balls by calling it a "knife purse" - it really was hilarious)

I started using them a couple years ago after losing a Lessard modded pioneer in at a movie theater. I was wearing cargo shorts and it fell out of my front right pocket. I went back hoping it was still on the floor, but it wasn’t...some lucky employee sweeping the floor probably found it and had no clue what he had.
So now my slipjoints ride in a pocket slip (from a site I’m not sure if I can mention..H&T) and they stay put and ride vertical in my pocket.

I use a pocket slip for the same reason. Just worried about one falling out of my pocket without me knowing.
