Poison Ivy Immunization - Yum!!!

I still avoid it whenever possible, I don't want to tempt fate. It would be foolish to just walk through it all the time. But I have been around it for many years without any problems.
 
There seems alot of anecdotal stories and old wives tales on how to immunize yourself to poison ivy. I would strongly recommend that you try none of these. The risk of serious injury is too great to experiment on yourself without solid scientific or medical evidence. I am very immune to it, my best friend comes within 10 feet of it and breaks out. Individuals have different tolerances to the substance. Remember the old snake bite stories using, whisky, onions, potassium permanganate and so on. It was found out that a great percentage of bites were dry, so they were lucky.
