I, as well as other members ,have been taken by this outfit. I sent a Money Order for a mini Commander that I saw list in knifeauctions.net after agreeing on a price. After the MO was cashed, Mario advised that the knife was not in stock and was ordered, to be delivered to them on Jan 20 {Sunday?} and it would be shipped to me that day. When I received this notifacation, I immediately asked for an explanation and no response. Since then I have emailed a number of times and placed a phone call that went unanswered today. I can only assume that I have been scammed for the first time in many knife deals and would suggest that all avoid this guy. I have know found some similar experiences in various forums. I did ask if anyone had knowledge regarding this company a couple of weeks ago on this forum and got no response so I was somewhat comfortable. So I guess I best mark it down to being too trusting and change my way of thinking. Mike Mason

You should also make sure to report it to knifeacution also, so maybe they will terminate the account and save others from having to deal with the same thing.

And also, thanks for reporting it here, so I can avoid them.

Hi Mike; I did report to knifeauctions and as a matter of fact they phoned me within 10 minutes of my report. They will look into it as they are concerned as to their reputations with regard to his activity on their site. mike:mad:

Here's his address

Give him a call or drop him a line! I'm sure he would love to hear from knife guys. Mike

Knifeman,

This individual is about 60 miles west of us. Interested in suing him in Porter County, Indiana small claims court? I'd be happy to file it for you if you like. The cost should be right around $35 or so. I can't represent you as an attorney but the lawsuit itself may be enough to motivate him to be a better person. No guarantees, just an offer. Take care.

Thanks Cougar, I hate to feel alone! Since I entered this post as well as one on KF and also notified knifeauctions, Mario has responded to say that his supplier was unable to ship so he had to order the knife from another source. He says know that he can send the knife on Friday or will refund me. I suggested that he should "just make it right" and it would be fine if he just Paypaled me the refund. I guess we will se if he has any concern as to his reputation and I will continue my dialogue until he acts or withdraws from the market place at least under his current name. mike

Well the offer is to send the knife [If they get one] or send a refund. I have asked to be refunded immediately so we'll see what happens.:(

To my understanding, if you make a deal with someone, and the payment is delivered by mail and they do not deliver your merchandise, they are guilty of a mail fraud, a felony federal offense punishable by up to five years in prison. If the guy doesn't send your merchandise, you should probably report him using the link at the bottom. I think this would fall under failure to provide merchandise in their complaint form. A good thing to do is to keep records of your money order, any e-mails from him, and keep record of links on the web where he solicited the sale (while he was intending to defraud you).

This is covered under USC 18, Sec. 1341.

Inform him that you are unhappy with what seems to be a failure to provide merchandise, and that you will report him to the United States Postal Inspectors and any other law enforcement agency you can get in contact with. May help to give him a link to the postal inspector's form below, so he knows you are serious.

Mario 'appears" to be running a knife dealership with NO STOCK
He gets paid for a specific knife and then searches to find
SOMEBODY-ANYBODY who has that specific knife at the best price to maximize his profit. It "seems" he is constantly getting caight with his pants down around his ankles, as he is starting to realize he cannot deliver at the prices he says and still turn a profit.

So, Mario Plays with "customers" in hopes of getting those "few" who just finally GIVE UP. ( Isn't the way the way to do things, get screwed, make a big stink until you get told to go away and then sulk in the corner as the loser?  )

Well, that's how Mario conducts HIS Business also. He was doing pretty well until folks started to really make a stink. Now he is just a little worried that his "knife Dealing" days are over. If you complain long enough, and with Mario it's going to take more than just posting on GB&U, you "might" get some satisfaction. But Mario is still banking on the chance you will get tired of complaining and just "write this one off" It works for Many Scammers

Mike, I told you what I can do, and let me know...........Back to my cave to sulk over my two Spydercos............Ira

Thanks Ira for support and offer to help. I will give Mr.Carrizales until Friday to refund me or as you say I will let the law handle it. mike:mad:

Mike,
If what you print is TRUTH it is not Libelous. Do not allow him to blow smoke. This is how mario remains successful. Mario scares off those who do not get the goods they pay for by chucking empty and veiled threats. He has no legs to stand on, and before he destroys his Business, I would sure hope he does the right thing.

BTW, My read on what he wrote was that he KNOWINGLY gave you the false impression that this was a good deal. This is a textbook "Theft by Deception"............Ira:mad:

Well Mario's answer to my request for refund is that I have slandered him and am attempting to ruin his business. He has advised that I should take the matter to whatever authorities I like as he is going to his lawyer. I only speak the truth and I hope he is honest with his lawyer, who would no doubt advise him to do the right thing! If anyone needs a mini Commander for $106. see knifeauctions.net as that's where he advertises! Mike

Nail this bass **** to the wall and keep publicizing this so all 12,000 members see it and tell their friends too. Post on other forums too.

Thanks Dave; Hard to believe the guy would take a beating like this for $111. that he refuses to refund. Mike:mad:

I've dealt with knifeman 7 several times, and he is as honest and trustworthy as can be. If he says he'll buy a knife, I ship that day because I know he'll make good, regardless of being out of the country. And, if he says this guy is a fraud, then you can bank on it. If he doesn't refund promptly he is as good as admitting he's a crook.
