I am a BIG fan of your preorders.

They allow me to order exactly what I want and I am fine with delayed gratification. Hell, I’d put down full payment for an integral if you told me it’d be ready in 3 years.

Nothing against the Friday sales, but I’m keen about knives and not about internet speed-tests — esp since I’m usually in OR and/or an internet-restricted zone on Friday (who’d have thought a hospital would restrict access to websites about knives?)

I'm thinking at least 2. Going back and forth between two places ain't cheap. Nathan chose a "great" year to expand and to move :p
 
Bar none CPK is the best knifemaker /manufacturer I’ve ever dealt with from both a quality standpoint and a customer service standpoint. My first preorder was the FK2 and they exceeded my expectations. I may have been one of the last to receive my knives based on my selections (Acid Wash plus Satin) but they delivered on time. Please keep the preorders going so we can get the extras a preorder will allow. The wait isnt a problem because I can get my CPK fix through a Fun Friday sale or off of the Exchange.
 
I think the mad dash Friday sales on a new pattern, and eventual preorder to get that exact configuration you want when things calm down is about the greatest invention in selling knives ever devised.
5 for the Friday sales adrenaline rush, 5+ for caving in to our demands every time and offering a preorder, and some large number higher than 10 for JO's customer service :thumbsup:

Okay, so let's worst-case-scenario this thing. HK puts money down a preorder, Nathan decides to spend it on beer. In which case Nathan gets creative and grinds some really cool $hit which gets offered up for sale anyway. Win-win. The K-18's an outlier. No need to funk the jive Nate.
 
My first and only direct order was the preorder for the FK. I like this system. Whilst I generally refuse to prepay for knives I think that we can say that CPK is the exception that proves the rule.

No offence but I refuse to participate in some crazy internet race for knives. I am old school. I like to think about what I want, ask questions, place an order and anticipate the arrival.

Please do more offerings on this basis. I may not buy everything but at least I will have the opportunity.
 
I’m trying to remember but I think my first preorder was the FK ? After that I believe I only missed out on the K18.
I really prefer the preorder process. Yes I’ve placed in Friday sales but I’ve also needed proxies. A huge thank you to those who proxied :-) much appreciated !!!! So without hesitation I’d say Yes oh hell YES on preorders !!!!!!

I wonder if Nathan is going to offer the same kinda wide berth regarding options and semi customization. Since I know that Nathan reads every post, I'd like for him to chime in about what he has in mind. Someone had asked about swedge and how that would affect a re-inforced tip. I dunno if I even want a swedge with a DEKs but one with a penetrator tip would look so darn sexy :)
