My EDC consists of 7+ things, and therefore I always come up heavier than 9+ oz

Knifewise the BK14 (most carried EDC knife) + a folder of some sort weigh around 4-6 oz

I don't worry about it too much, honestly. I carried an 8 oz ZT 0200 almost exclusively for 2 years. I've got a copper scaled 0550 that weighs about the same.

I am way more concerned with the thickness of a knife in the pocket rather than the weight. Most days, I IWB a Glock 17, so the difference between a 2oz and 7oz knife isn't going to be noticed.

However, a knife that is thick enough that I can't get my hand down into my pocket past it bothers me a bit and can sometimes be harder to draw.

I will say that super light knives freak me out a bit if that's all I am carrying. My wife got me a Kizer titanium Begleiter for Christmas. Just a tad over 3.5" in blade and clocks in at 2.9oz. I constantly find myself nervously patting my front pocket feeling like I may have lost it since it is so light and so thin. Kinda digging it, really.

That’s a good point. Bulk can be more noticeable than weight.

I believe my Spyderco Gayle Bradley 1 is my heaviest folder at a little over 5oz. I could be wrong. I like lighter weight knives and on average I would say my collection is around 3oz give or take. It depends on what I'm wearing and/or doing of what I carry. My lightest is probably my Brian Tighe small Twist Tighe at 1.8oz.
