I had this thought as well, but actually the driving force for me was Nathan's reminder that the difference between first post and last post was nearly a year in delivery time on the K18 order. I dawdled on that with the K18 and ended up midway through the pack, so I was trying to improve my position with the K20, but ended up just glad to make it in!
 
I posted “in” within seconds of the thread opening. By the time my screen refreshed, I was on the 3rd page. My heart was racing as I scrolled thru the first 2 pages looking for my post. I found it on page 3 #48. Moments later it was over and full!

Just crazy! What a rush. The K20 will be legendary!

Heck I had the crazy thought that for a brief moment I was glad to be a divorced man, since this purchase would never have happened when I was married!

But today I said self, do you have money for this? Yes. Do you need this? YES. Well OK then, post yourself something in that thread!
 
The break room is my go to spot at work, bad internet connection but that's the best place for a signal

I told my wife all week. Friday at 5pm I will be on the couch at home hooked up to WI-FI. Ordering a K20. No exceptions.
Now she is saying uh huh all not impressed as I continue to talk about how I’m actually getting one. But I bet you she is gonna love it! She will think it is so cool. She will also say “so this is what you have been talking about non stop for the last 2 years?”

My girlfriend is only mad that I don't allow her full access to all the things with edges and is always looking for new things to destroy. I was counseled by this subforum that I need to immediately marry her. Working on it...

Whenever I hand her a new knife. She does a stabbing motion with it. Then hands it back. Every time. A couple quick thrusts and she is done with it.

Just went in to count and there are a minimum of 144 swords requested, just counting all the posts where someone said they were in but didn't give a number and any where someone requested to be on the wait list as only one and not counting any of the chat posts that didn't clearly state they wanted to be in or on the wait list. That's insane.
 
What's crazy is that I posted as fast as I could after scrolling down as fast as possible on the my phone (while stuck in Boston traffic). I knew it would be a fast sell after seeing people jump all over the K18 that get posted from time to time. But I didn't expect it to be that crazy.

Ugh

No boar spear. I swear to God if I get one more email about boar spears I'm taking pole arms off the list too.

And Eric's full size folding katana with a Bowie tip and popcorn stag saya was a bad idea and I regret making them. This insanity has to end. We're getting back to knives, swords and tactical screwdrivers. And maybe a folder. I knew things had gone off the rail when we started making high-speed low-drag tactical trowels. Although those were pretty dope.
