I was really surprised more competitors on KOD didn't run the course with purpose built, double sided blades.

The wavy handle is well thought out because when you flip your grip and you combine the leverage you'll be able to generate with a two handed grip + the slightly upswept tip >>> it will be very effective at busting open the sides of those crates of sand or anything else that needs breaching, I'd bet....almost like a pick ax.

Put that blade in the hands of someone in peak conditioning....folks we not only have a KOD champion, but quite possibly a record setting KOD champ!

That’s unnecessary because it can cut through anything in one hit. Most things just fall apart in its presence out of fear of being struck by it.

I could be wrong, but I think it's because it's double edged.

The fuller is simply to reduce the heft of that massive blade.

Seen Dr Dan 1-hit 2x4's (2x6's?) with the SA. Would love to see how this puppy chops.

In the KoD thread, I'd mentioned that someone like Dan running the course with a Super Assassin, would be a hoot! The skill and eye-hand coordination of a champion competition chopper, without the size restrictions/limitations a competition chopper blade...

This puppy would be even better. One edge for busting harder stuff (crates, ice blocks, gravel filled buckets/tubes etc.), and a razor edge for slicing through the soft stuff like the meat, rope, nylon straps, bottles etc.
