C'mon!!!!!! Choil haters UNITE!

I don't necessarily want/need a choil, but I'd like the talon hole (or something) to provide some sort of barrier between my fingers and the edge.

Jerry I have to change my vote, kind of. I am feeling the handle and thumb ramp (although moved forward a bit) of #1 and the blade of #2. Either that or keep #1, move the thumb ramp up, ditch the choil and raise the sabre grind line, oh and don't forget to make convex all the way to the edge. :D I have to agree with the train of thought that going choil less on #1 is the way to go, people who have to have one could have the mod done pretty easily. I have to wonder if you favor a specific size of choil based on the curves and their relation to stress points. I like the talon hole/guard keeping my nubbin's from running up on the blade though.

i can't decide, there are aspects of both i like. the choil has become synonymous with busse for me, but when it's as small as it is on no.1 it's almost non-functional. i do like a lot of the looks of no.2, but i also like the thumb ramp that's on no.1. i guess i'll vacillate a while longer and see if i can bring myself to vote. at least i'm debating on good qualities here, and not having to decide between the lesser of the evils like i will be this coming november....

Seriously though, are these going to be offered together?

The blade on #2 is cool, but #1 all the way.. it looks kickass.

Please make a .250"+ version of this!!!!!!!

#2 is just like the Hogmuk and that is awesome! There's the combo of bushcraft Busse's we all need and they're both full convex ground!!!

and choil-less :D

#1 plus larger Choil!!!! Try actually using it without a functional Choil Guys. Not so good.

Choil, no choil, Jerry you need to proto #1 with a a small choil and a large useable choil and #2, send them to me for evaluation. That is the only way to decide. Also send me the proto Muks and I'll give them a go as well. No charge for my time. :D

I don't think either of them are perfect just yet, but I'm going with #1.
If theres gonna be a choil, might as well make it a larger, useful one.
If #1 had #2's taller grind it would be perfect.

#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2#2 ALL THE WAY !!!!!!!!!!!

It's a cleaner looking design.
Except the upper talon hole. Eliminate that and the blade is PERFECT...

#1... a hard use knife needs a choil. It would suck to cut the hell out of your forefinger in the woods (well... anywhere else for that matter).

I do like the look of #2 on a small knife... maybe a 4" blade similar to the Cultie.

I voted #2

I think that there are a few things i like on both.

I like the handle on the first with the curve of the second, with the talon hole from the first and no choil and the taller grind.

I like #1. My small female hands like the thumb ramp option & the choil! I also like the squared off butt. And as others have said, I don't really like the talon hole on #2... Just my $0.02!
