Poor Communication from eafisher

Hello all,

I've had an unfortunate experience with member eafisher here over the past couple of months. We had initially outlined a trade deal for some custom work to be done to a knife of mine. I am aware that he is not a defined knifemaker/modder here, but with a seemingly-genuine claim of attempting to get it off the ground and some proof of past work, I forged ahead with the deal. Though lacking the title of this form of membership, such is nonexcusatory for the issue I have experienced. I sent him the knife to be traded for the labor, my knife to be customized, and the material to be used to create the scales. Initially, communication was constant and very positive. Unfortunately, I have been unable to elicit any form of response from him in the last couple of months. The last communication was one that the knife was nearly complete, but that he was experiencing some health problems. For this, I gave some time to be understanding, but that is the last communication I have had from him. I've attempted PM, phone contact, and email, to no avail. I am not looking to burn any reputation here, but I do need some form of communication, and ultimately my knife back.

I would greatly appreciate if you see this thread and respond, Eric. Also, if any members who may know him here would be able to help me out in contacting him, such would be of great thanks.

Welp, this sucks. We have someone working as a craftsman with the incorrect membership level, and he has "gone dark". I'll try and contact him for you and see if anything results. I hope he is ok, sometimes strange things can and do happen. I haven't lost hope in humanity just yet.

Eafisher, Eric Fisher, scammed me for $1500 on a trade and defrauded UPS for $900. I can't give too much details about it as there is a federal investigation for many counts of frauds on this member. He resided in Olympia Washington. Please be aware. All this happened few months ago and he totally dissapeared, my theory is maybe meaner and closer people got to him before the feds could, again just a theory.

His Paypal account was seized, I would suspect your knife is at some local pawn shops as well as some of my knives based on personal experience with this member. I am sorry to hear this but trust me when I say you will not likely ever see him or your knives, I have written my lost off and moved on and just hoping he will rot in jail when he gets caught. Based on my knowledge it wouldn't be the first time he goes to county jail.

Oh BTW he didn't have any health issues at all he disappeared after he took off with all these knives and money.

Eric Fisher if you are reading this once you told me your greatest goal in life was for your kid to be proud of you as a father...you know me well and trust me when I say I will make sure in my life that kid knows the gross and pathetic scammer you are so every time you look into his eyes you remember what you have done and feel the shame. I will never see my knives or money but I learned my lesson and I will make sure worth every ounce and penny of what you took. I give you my word.

I am terribly sorry to hear that I'm not the only one afflicted by such an issue with this member. The seized PayPal makes quite a bit of sense, as does a possibility of incarceration. Thank you for sharing your experience so I know what I have to expect.

I'm sure some of you guy's are already 3 steps ahead of me already...but it makes me wonder, WHY, EAFisher hasn't locked his FB profile up, with potential incriminating evidence. Maybe he's incarcerated?

Those are old pictures and neither of them have posted pretty much anything since he dissapeared. I have asked the same as well many times. If you check his profile in BF and look up the last day he was active in BF that's when he completely dissapeared.

Yeah, I realized that after I went back & looked at specific dates that corresponded with the pictures. There is one picture however, that has his vehicle's license plate (Washington State plates) with the number clearly visible. Has anyone checked with the DMV or have any friends in LE (R.A. could this this- you know who I'm talking about). But I'm willing to bet, that this dirt bag hasn't registered his vehicle in a very long time...

No need to run any plates. The above mentioned address is his latest address but he doesn't own anything not even that house or cars. He was staying with his parents in law and the truck you see was somebody's else's. No one know answers those phone numbers or emails. It seems everyone just completely disappeared off the face of earth, thus collaborating my theory. I have done a lot of research on this guy in addition to my knowledge of him from our dealings. I know he had some close friends in BF as well so I am hoping one of them can give more info on his actual place right now. Even then I am really sure it will not lead to anything as he has nothing to show for.

Everyone, thank you immensely for your sleuthing with the given information. After a final email of notice that I had posted his information, I have a rather surprising update. I have received return correspondence from eafisher via email. It has been explained/admitted that my knife has been lost off of his workbench, and he has been profusely apologetic. It has been promised that the material I had purchased for scales will be returned, and that my knife will be replaced when possible. I am interested to see if this will pan out, and will be waiting until it does before possibly altering any negative impressions. I will keep you all updated with how this goes.
